What This Is About Taxes are an important part of any business startup. In this workshop, you’ll get a practical overview of the most important tax law basics—from tax registration and relevant tax types to choosing the right legal structure.

What to Expect Taxes are part of starting any business—but they often raise a lot of questions, especially in the beginning. In this workshop, you’ll get a clear overview of the most important tax basics for launching your own business. You’ll learn which types of taxes are relevant for new business owners, how to register for taxes, and what you need to keep in mind regarding sales tax, the small business exemption, and invoicing. We’ll also cover the basics of income tax, corporate tax, and business tax, as well as the tax differences between various legal structures. In this workshop, you’ll get a practical introduction to the most important tax topics related to starting a business:

Overview of the Main Types of Taxes Tax Registration (Tax Registration Questionnaire) Basics of Value-Added Tax (VAT), including the small business exemption and invoice requirements Basics of income tax, corporate income tax, and business tax (including methods of determining taxable income) Comparison of legal structures from a tax perspective Opportunity to ask an experienced tax advisor individual questions

Participation is free of charge. Upon completion of the course, a certificate of participation can be issued upon request.
